Facilities and staff were outstanding. Trainer was knowledgeable and dealt with individual needs well would recommend to anyone

Course was extremely useful, Tony the instructor was very knowledgeable and helped me better my basic skills in F gas as well as shown me how to deal with HC.

Candidate failed 7 times at another training centre

Hi Tony, Just wanted to drop you email to thank you for helping me get my F-gas.

Having been to another national training centre and failed the f-gas exam 7 times. I was amazed that after spending less than 24 hrs training with you was not only able to pass but with a score of 92.5%.

I will be certainly recommending you and looking forward to more training from yourself.

I don’t write feedback often, but in my case I have got to say that my experience of the 7543-1 Refrigerant Handling with Mr. Tony Muxlow on a one-to-one on a Saturday has got to be one of the best days I have ever had!

I found that the balance between the knowledgeable in-depth concise theory and the hands on experience was just so right.

In fact, I must add that although the refrigeration handling course covers the practical hands on (safe) transfer of refrigerant cylinder to cylinder, Tony went the extra mile above and beyond the course content. This was achieved by going through the full process of a full refrigerant recovery, evacuation and measured refrigerant recharge on a Renault Van.

I can’t echo enough what others have said about the friendliness of Tony and Rose.
The ‘Perfect Cup of tea’ and Sandwiches really hit the spot.

To say I enjoyed my day is an understatement, and I look forward to dealing with Tony again very soon on the other courses he provides.

Before I came, I was apprehensive as I hadn’t been in the trade for quite a few years. In fact before I came, I would have been happy with scraping a pass.

When I read your advertisement on the internet offering refrigeration qualifications I jumped at the opportunity.

For many years, I have been in the ice cream sales business and at the mercy of some very incompetent fridge engineers charging high prices for poor work.

I kept an open mind when you claimed you would train me up to pass the ‘F’ gas course in 5 days. This involved practical and theory but after speaking to you I realised that with my past experiences it was a no brainer I had to do it.

I must also say, I found your approach and hospitality very refreshing and enjoyed the course immensely. Full credit to you and Rose for making me feel at home with excellent food and drink, but the biggest bonus was passing the exam. All in all a very good result and a new friendship that I feel will benefit both of us in the years to come. I will keep in touch and have no hesitation in recommending you to prospective fridge engineers

I said I’d be back ! After the enjoyable experience I had previously of the 7543-1 Refrigerant Handling with Mr. Tony Muxlow I was determined to expand on my knowledge of Refrigeration. The next natural step of progression was to undertake the City and Guilds 2079 F-GAS course.

The City and Guilds 2079 F-GAS course was indeed a lot harder than the 7543-1 Refrigerant Handling course, as there is a lot of detail to absorb at first glance (, as I’m not a Refrigeration Engineer by profession).

However, over the days, Tony broke this down into “bite-sized chunks”, and with his unique style and approach, helped visualise the process and theory of operation. The practical hands-on training utilising his refrigeration test rigs aided immensely, and was the most fun part of the course.

Exam day was daunting as I wanted to do my best for myself (and Tony), so after obtaining a 100% result, saying I was over the moon was an understatement in itself. You’ll have to experience the exam to fully appreciate the 100% Pass that Rosie Muxlow obtained too!

Theory is always one thing, practical another, but this practical felt natural after the days of guidance received from the ideal Training room environment at Tony’s.

Again, I left the whole experience with enjoyment and satisfaction and I’m looking forward to installing my own Air conditioning unit in my own home.

Candidate passes the F-gas 2079 and explains how.

I chose Tony as I had previously completed other courses with him in 2002, I find his teaching method brilliant, he has the patience of a saint and his ability to explain things that are really difficult to understand, I will be using him many more times.

I was concerned about doing the course as writing and reading are not my strong point but Tony put my worries to one side, his teaching methods were totally designed around myself. He always made sure I fully understood each point before going onto to another category. I would go to my hotel each night shower, eat, sleep, wake up in the middle of the night and revise as he had the confidence in me and I didn’t want to let him down.

The hospitality was great; I was looked after very well. Thank you Rose for the coffee and sandwiches..

I would like to say it was hard but as the instructor was so helpful it made it so much easier, the hospitality was very good there was nothing they would not do to help .

As I have explained reading and writing are not my strong point, but Tony’s teaching methods warranted the three hour drive to his centre as I had full confidence in the fact he would find a way of teaching me what I thought impossible to learn, and he did. I felt so confident after my test result that I decided to take the AC test, with Tony’s teaching methods he makes anything possible.

Thank you for your superb professional tuition. The training was indeed intensive,
but also enjoyable, adding to my knowledge of refrigeration & more importantly, you got me through the extremely difficult final exam with flying colours.

I initially thought that I would not need any training, but after talking to yourself on the phone, I accepted your advice to have at least one day training and another if needed.

When it came to the actual exam, my mind went blank, I then recalled and relied on Tony’s superb advice on how to proceed in a relaxed manor, with a shockingly good final result of an above average 87.5%.

I researched ALL the other training places, and I definitely picked the best one, saving myself time and money.

We bought an ice cream van with no knowledge of the business and kept having problems with our refrigeration and machine. Spent a fortune on repairs.

We learnt of Tony Muxlow’s courses. We arranged to do the basic refrigeration course and soft machine maintenance and installation. We were both total beginners but found the courses very easy to understand as all course work was hands on.

We can now do all our own maintenance on soft machine and install a new machine if we needed. Also we can re-gas our refrigeration units if needed.

Tony is very easy to get along with and easy to understand.

We would recommend his courses to anyone even people who think they know alot about ice cream vans. You can learn loads of stuff from tony. He is Ace.
