Rosie Muxlow becomes youngest qualified assessor at only 17!
9th November 2016:
Rosie Muxlow, who became the youngest person to be F-gas certified at just 16, has now qualified as an assessor
At the beginning of this year, Rosie, whose father Tony runs a Nottinghamshire-based refrigeration training company, achieved a 100% pass mark in the C&G F-gas 2079 category 1 exam at the tender age of 16 years and 73 days.
In February she followed this by passing the C&G 7543 mobile air conditioning qualification.
Now, only three days after her 17th birthday, she has gained her very own Oxford Cambridge level 3 assessing certification in OCR Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement; Understanding the principles and practices of assessment; Assess occupational competence in the work environment; Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.
Her proud parents, Tony and Rose Muxlow, who run Tony Muxlow Developments Ltd., say she took the qualification very seriously and completed six assessments alone as part of her course work.
The qualification is very hard to achieve at such a young age but Rosie had already done a lot of work experience previously and had assisted in her parents training programmes since a very young age.
Although fully competent at brazing as well as pressure testing, vacuum, and charge and recovery of refrigerants, Rosie now intends to go to college for additional refrigeration skills once she completes her A-levels at Worksop college.

A talented 16 year old makes the Cooling Post News after obtaining 100% Pass in F-GAS Exam !
A Nottinghamshire teenager has confounded the industry by becoming what is thought to be the youngest person ever to become F-gas certified.
Rosie Muxlow has achieved a 100% pass mark in the City and Guilds f-gas 2079 category 1 exam at the tender age of 16 years and 73 days.
While Rosie was fortunate to be able to have extensive one-to-one training from her father Tony, who runs Newark-based refrigeration training company Tony Muxlow Developments Ltd., both her on-line theory and practical examinations were observed by an official City and Guilds verifier.
Rosie studied for over two years during the school holidays before taking both parts of the assessment on January 4.
Rosie Muxlow extends her knowledge by passing 7543-01 Mobile Air Conditioning!
12th February, 2016:
After successful completion of the in-depth F-GAS training course and pass, Rosie Muxlow extends her knowledge by also completing the 7543-01 Mobile Air Conditioning.
Not only was the course undertaken and the formal exam completed, the additional hands on practical experience was also undertaken, as can be clearly seen in the above picture.
This additional hands on practical walk-through is additional to the largely theoretical test as it marries up the practical to the extensive theory offered by Tony Muxlow Developments Ltd. For more information about the additional practical assessment of the 7543-01 Mobile Air conditioning course,
